Monitoring system developed by Stage Consulting and StageLabs as part of an Error Monitoring initiative, initially intended for use within Stage Consulting projects.
The primary motivation for developing this system is to consolidate a comprehensive view of all projects into a single dashboard. Currently, many projects are scattered across various clouds, each with its own monitoring systems. This fragmentation complicates the work, making it more complex and requiring multiple systems to analyze different parts of the overall system, which further adds to the maintenance burden.
When errors occur in client environments (which can happen despite thorough testing), it is often difficult to pinpoint the exact source of the issue, necessitating the review of logs across multiple platforms.
Monit aims to solve this problem by providing a simple, scalable, and easy-to-implement visualization system.
