Webpack Component Resolver Plugin

Webpack2 plugin to resolve components based on their dirname when an index file is not present.

Let you drop index.js files when you only want to export one file/component:

Usage

When you require a folder:

import BarComponent from './BarComponent';

You usually have to use an index.js file as an export proxy:

├── BarComponent
│   ├── BarComponent.js
│   └── index.js

With this plugin, you can clean up the structure and have working directory imports:

├── BarComponent
│   └── BarComponent.js

Quickstart

npm i --save-dev component-webpack-resolver-plugin

1. You can use the raw plugin

   import ComponentResolverPlugin from 'component-webpack-resolver-plugin';
   // or // const ComponentResolverPlugin = require('component-webpack-resolver-plugin').default;
    
   resolve: {
     plugins: [new ComponentResolverPlugin('existing-directory', 'undescribed-raw-file')]
   }

2. Or the provided factory function

   import {factory as componentResolverPluginFactory} from 'component-webpack-resolver-plugin';
   // or // const componentResolverPluginFactory = require('component-webpack-resolver-plugin').factory;
    
   resolve: {
     plugins: [componentResolverPluginFactory()]
   }
