CreateJob All Chaining

createJob(jobId: string, value: any): Job Creates a new job with the specified jobId and value.

Parameters:

  • jobId (string): A unique identifier for the job.
  • value (any): The data associated with the job.

Returns: A Job object with chainable methods for further configuration.

retries(n: number): Job Sets the number of retry attempts for the job.

Parameters:

  • n (number): The number of retry attempts.

Returns: The Job object for chaining.

expiredTime(timeMili: number): Job Sets the expiration time for the job.

Parameters:

  • timeMili (number): The expiration time in milliseconds from the current time.

Returns: The Job object for chaining.

delayUntil(milisecond: number): Job Sets a delay for the job processing.

Parameters:

  • milisecond (number): The delay in milliseconds before the job is processed.

Returns: The Job object for chaining.

save(): Promise<void> Saves the job to the queue. This method must be called to persist the job.

Returns: A promise that resolves when the job is successfully saved.

The expired_time event is emitted when a job reaches its expiration time without being processed.

Parameters:

  • jobId (string): The unique identifier of the expired job.
  • jobData (any): The data associated with the expired job.
  • done (function): A callback function to signal the completion of handling the expired job. Call done(true) to indicate the job has been handled, and it will remove from queue. you can store in other database to track fail jobs.
